Thanks to Bethesda Academy and Bethesda-Union Society of Savannah who are our gracious hosts!

 

Historic Bethesda is on over 500 acres of land that was Granted to the Reverend George Whitefield in 1739 by the Georgia Trustees for use as an orphanage which was established in 1740. Bethesda is now a thriving school for young men whose football team was the 2023 State Champions of the South Carolina Independent School Association.

 

We are at Bethesda for our 16th year. Please  enjoy this day among the historic buildings, under the peaceful oaks, overlooking the marshes of picturesque Moon River (of Johnny Mercer fame) and the majestic forest of historic Wormsloe Plantation.

Located approximately 12 miles east of downtown Savannah, Bethesda Academy was founded in 1740 and features gorgeous marshland on the Moon River as well as majestic live oaks draped in Spanish moss.
